Compared to other states of the country, Karnataka state is doing an excellent job in controlling the spread of Covid-19 pandemic. Lacs of people are in distress due to the lockdown. It is really appreciable of the chief minister to have announced special financial package though the financial condition of state treasury is in turmoil. I whole heartedly extend by congratulations."
S R Patil, leader of opposition in the state legislative council said, "CM Yediyurappa has become 'Abhinava Basavanna' by declaring special package to labourers."
"The government has so far managed the situation that has cropped up due to the coronavirus pandemic. Declaring special package to downtrodden classes of society is a good decision. Many other labourers are out of the package. They also have to be provided with financial assistance as far as possible," said Siddaramaiah, leader of opposition in the state assembly.
Kodihalli Chandrashekhar, leader of farmers said, "The provision of making transport available to ship the crops that are produced by the farmers is laudable. Announcing financial assistance to flower growers in the special package is commendable. But the farmers should get suitable price for their produce. In addition, they should also get new loans."
