Puttur: Man who stole motorbike, weighing machines arrested

Puttur, May 7: Police personnel of the town station here arrested a person accused of stealing a motorbike and weighing scales. They also recovered the stolen items.

The arrested person happens to be Roshan alias Naufal (20). He is from Kishalnagar in Kodagu district but was compelled to stay back in the house of relatives here on account of lockdown. Reportedly, he had stolen a motorbike parked in front of a house in Sanjay Nagar, Kemminje here, and also three weighing scales from a shop at Mukrampady owned by Ibrahim.

The thefts came to light on Tuesday May 5. Owners of the motor bike and the weighing machines had filed complaint.

The police personnel of the town station who undertook investigation arrested the accused from Bedrala here on Wednesday. They said that another person was hand in glove with the arrested accused in these thefts, and that they are hunting for him now.
