Udupi, Jan 4: ‘Vidyotsav’, a three-day cultural programme at Vidyaniketan education institution, Kaup, began on Saturday January 2. It was organized under the aegis of Vidyaniketan Group, Kaup, and Anantaraj Charitable Trust.
Block education officer D Manjunatayya, during the inaugural of Vidyotsav, said that as youths are provided model education in a competitive era, the parents of students are expected to boost the self-confidence of their children.
Meanwhile, Vidyaniketan student Ashwini Udupa was honoured with the ‘Vidya Kusuma’ title for the youngest student who successfully competed in the competitions organized by the district Interact organization.
Anantaraj Charitable Trust chairman K P Acharya presided over the programme.
Vidyaniketan Group manager Somanath Shetty, student representatives Ummer Farid, Francia Mathias, Vidyaniketan Public School head teacher Ophilia Coutinho, High School headmaster Vidyadar Puranik and vice-principal Mini Nair were present on the occasion.
