Mangalore, Dec 28: Bunts Sangh, Suratkal here bagged the cash award of Rs 25,000 and a trophy in the cultural competitions held during Youth Bunts national convention, Bhavaikya programame, which was organized by Bunts Sangh of Bangalore.
Suratkal Bunts Sangh staged Bantere Badk, in the cultural competitions division. Bantere Badk showcased the Tulunadu culture enriched by Bunts community, since the past many centuries. The award was received by Suratkal Bunts Association president Devanand Shetty, secretary Ullas R Shetty, Prahlad Shetty and Sudhakar Poonja, in the presence of Sri Gurudevanand Swami of Odiyoor Mutt, during the valedictory function.
Bangalore Bunts Sangh president B L N Hegde, convenor Prasad Shetty and youth wing president Satyodaya Hegde were present. Bunts Matr Sangh, here bagged the second prize and Belman Bunts Sangh bagged the third prize.
Spoorti Poonja Bags Banta Kinnari Award
Spoorti Poonja of Hosabettu, here bagged Banta Kinnari Award, in the children’s cultural competitions. Bangalore Bunts Sangh president B L N Hegde presented the Award, in the presence of convenor Prasad Shetty and youth wing president Satyodaya Hegde.
Spoorti Poonja is the daughter of Sudhakar and Kesari Poonja couple, residents of Hosabettu, here. Spoorti is studying in Class II at Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals Limited DPS School.
