Udupi, Apr 21: Applicants of APL and BPL cards awaiting ration cards may obtain their ration from their nearest ration shop.
BPL card holders are entitled to 10 kg rice free while APL card holders can buy 10 kg rice at the rate of Rs 15 each. They can get the rice on producing a copy of their application and Aadhaar card at the ration shops. However, if their Aadhaar number is included in other ration cards, they cannot get ration on them.
As the ration will be supplied to the shops before April end, ration card holders should obtain the ration by April 27, said DC G Jagadeesh.
