Bantwal: Lady accidentally slips, drowns in river at Kariyangala

Bantwal, pAr 21: A woman from Kariyangala village accidentally slipped and drowned in River Falguni. This incident happened on Sunday April 19.

The deceased was Vedavathi, residing near Pallipady school. Her younger brother filed a report about the unfortunate incident.

Veadavathi is differently abled by birth. She had gone close to Faguni river along with a woman from a house in her neighbourhood when she slipped and fell into the river. The woman accompanying her immediately informed the family upon which expert divers were deployed on a search operation. Vedavathi's body was found and retrieved thereafter.

Based on this report, a case of unnatural death was registered at the rural police station here.
