Udupi, Apr 16: Infosys Foundation has handed over needy health equipment worth about Rs 28.75 lac to the district as the second phase of its medical assistance. The current consignment includes N95 masks, medical gloves, face masks, face shields, and PPE kits. In the first phase, the Infosys Foundation had provided medical equipment and other things valued at around Rs 50 lac to the district.
In the first instalment, the Infosys Foundation provided things worth about Rs 50 lac to face coronavirus challenge.
Udupi district deputy commissioner Jagadeesh, has profusely thanked Dr Ramdas Kamath and president of the foundation, Sudha Murthy, for this aid. On behalf of the district administration, he expressed his gratitude to the foundation for responding to the plea of the administration quickly when it was facing a dearth of medical equipment in its drive against COVID - 19.
A release from the office of the deputy commissioner said that the administration is indebted to Dr Ramdas Kamath of Infosys Foundation too for providing the equipment.
