Bangalore, Dec 16: Angered by repeated comments being passed against him by tourism minister, G Janardhan Reddy, leader of the opposition in the state assembly, Siddaramaiah, angrily said that the ministers from Bellary have been the most ominous signs for the entire state.
He was speaking to reporters after the house was adjourned on Monday, on the sidelines of Vidhan Soudha here.
“I do not intend to be tutored political lessons by these evils, who have been robbing the state’s forest wealth. The Bellary Reddys, who are uncultured and uncivilized, have not only been engaged in illegal mining, but also depriving huge royalties to the state’s exchequer. Condemning this, the party will be organizing protests all over the state. It is the misfortune of the state that such people have become ministers,” he lamented.
Siddu also added that he does not intend to get into a verbal duel with the Reddy brothers, who have no political culture. He said, he will pursue the party’s demand for dropping the mining barons from the cabinet, in the assembly session. He termed Yeddyurappa as the weakest Chief Minister ever in the history of the state, as he is afraid of the ministers from Bellary. “Yeddyyurappa withdrew the decision to levy toll on trucks carrying sand, as he is frightful of the Reddys. This has brought the government to the verge of bankruptcy and financially the state is facing a crisis,” he opined.
