Mangaluru: Milagres College generously extends aid to needy

Media Release

Mangaluru, Apr 15: Realising the enormity of corona lockdown in the city and the untold suffering it brought about in the lives of the needy and the daily wage earners, Milagres College management decided to render its best to the needy and the neglected.

Through its network of faculty and students, the college made a list of those who would need assistance from the college and helped them at their doorstep. Provisions to sustain a family of four for 15 days were distributed to around 50 families, each food kit costing around Rs 2000.

Also, the college donated more than 500 kilos of rice to be distributed through NGOs to the needy.

This charitable work is an ongoing one as and when the need arises and this noble task is carried out through financial assistance received from the college and John Errol Samuel, a generous donor.

Anyone in need of help at this hour of crisis can approach the college principal, Fr Michael Santhumayor.
