Panaji, Apr 8 (IANS): One person from seven COVID-19 positive patients in Goa has recovered, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said on Wednesday.
"Goa has its first recovered #COVID19 patient, bringing the total number of positive cases to 6. The patient will further be kept under monitored quarantine for 14 days as per protocol before final discharge," Rane said in a statement.
"I applaud the medical staff for their dedicated service and tireless efforts in ensuring our patients are given the best treatment," he also said.
With the successful treatment of one patient, six COVID-19 patients continue to be under treatment at the Employee State Insurance Hospital, which is Goa's designated COVID-19 hospital.
More than a 1,000 persons are currently under quarantine at their respective homes and government-operated quarantine facilities.
