Udupi, Apr 2: Nirmithi Kendra donated Rs one crore for the various measures that the government has taken to control the spread of coronavirus pandemic in the state of Karnataka. The cheque was handed over to CMs relief fund on Thursday, April 2.

Arun Kumar, director of Nirmithi Kendra and DC Jagadeesh handed over the cheque to CMs relief fund at a function organized at the press club in the city.

DC Jagadeesh clarified that there is no ban on fishing and sale of fish. However, fishing in groups and selling to crowds is not permitted. Traditional fishing is allowed and also fish, poultry and other meat can be sold by maintaining social distance.

The DC also said that all steps are taken for the distribution of ration to the families in the district. Care is also taken to minimize the loss to the farmers.

District administration is taking care of food and accommodation of people who are quarantined by the district administration. In another four days the period of 14 days of quarantine will be over. Two years imprisonment will be given to those who violate home quarantine rules. This information was shared with the media by the DC.
