Mumbai, Apr 2: B R Hotel group at Andheri has been distributing food packets worth lacs everyday at Andheri in the financial capital of the country that is under shock by the consequences of the deadly coronavirus.

B R Shetty, managing director of B R Restaurants Private Limited and his workers have been preparing and distributing food. Chief editor of Marati daily newspaper Samna, leader of Shivasene, Loksabha member Sanjay Raut commended the selfless service of B R Shetty.

The food is being prepared everyday with Rs 3.25 lac worth rice, vegetable, cooking oil and grocery. 1,250 packets are being distributed to fire services throughout Mumbai, 1,500 packets to the railway police force, 1,500 packets to the police department at Mumbai west, 2,500 packets to the office of the police commissioner for distribution among staff and workers, 1,650 packets to residents at Bhandup, Kurla and Kolegeri, 4,000 packets to BMC workers, staff and hospital staff. Dr Chiranjeevi R Shetty and others were present when the information was disclosed.
