Mangaluru: DC seeks details from public part of religious Nizamuddin convention

Mangaluru, Apr 1: Deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district has, through a press release, come up with a request that is very important in the interests of the health of the citizens from the district.

DC Sindhu B Rupesh said that there could be someone among those who participated in the Tabligh-e-Jamaat's Markaz convention at Nizamuddin, New Delhi, between March 8 to March 20 who may have contracted COVID-19 infection.

She requested them to immediately provide their information either on the helpline number - 1077 or to the district health officer. As this is a very serious matter with far-reaching consequences, she has requested everyone not to overlook this matter.

    Seeking details from the public?? You mean to say that the attendees at the convention will voluntarily come forward? No way maam!!!. Just wait for the test results or request from their families pleading the Govt to provide help and compensation on humanitarian grounds.

    With a utmost request all members related to above congregation knowing/unknowingly come in contact with members to be surrendered in front of DC immediately. It's in the interest of people of DK.
