Bengaluru, Mar 31: The commissionerate of Health and Family Welfare Services, Bengaluru, in circular has cleared the doubts in the minds of people and officials over utilisation of masks during the enforcement of lockdown relating to coronavirus in progress at present.
The commissionerate has stated that it has come to its notice that the management of commercial complexes, shops and commercial establishments are forcing ordinary people to wear masks. “The government has already clarified through circulars and directions about who should wear masks. Therefore, it is being clarified here that a person needs to wear mask only if he or she is suffering from cold, cough, and fever or breathing difficulties.
“Masks should also be worn by persons suspected to be suffering from coronavirus or looking after patients suffering from breathing difficulties.
Suspected coronavirus patients or those who are involved in the treatment of such patients should wear only N-95 masks. Those who are not indulged in their treatments may wear surgical masks with three layers,” states the circular.
