Bengaluru, Mar 30: Due to the lock down announced by the union government in the wake of coronavirus pandemic, holiday was declared to school teachers till March 31. Now the period is extended to April 11 by the education department.
This information was shared by primary and secondary education minister Suresh Kumar. Teachers are advised not to go to any places other than their centers. They are also instructed to carry out any office work given by the school authorities.
"We are getting complaints from parents and guardians that some schools have already started collecting fee for the academic year 2020-21, which has created inconvenience to the parents. The admissions for the 2020-21 academic year is postponed. No school should carry out the admission process now and also should not collect fee," said Suresh Kumar.
It is also directed by the education department to the school administrative committees to withdraw any instructions given to the parents with regard to payment of fee and admission process. Otherwise criminal case will be filed against them, said the authority. In addition, Suresh Kumar warned that the recognition of such institutes will be cancelled.
