Udupi, Mar 28: Gopalalkrishna Madivala from Narnadu in Uppoor, who had hanged himself out of fear of contracting coronavirus infection, has tested negative for the dreaded disease.
The health officials said that the post-mortem report has given negative report about the man and hence asked people living in the vicinity not to panic.
Madivala, when ending his life, had left behind a note in which he said he was suspicious that he was suffering from coronavirus infection and had therefore decided to kill himself.
