Karkala, Nov 27: Vedavati Shetty from Mulkad near Hebri, who is facing the charge of killing her husband with the help of a hammer, was remanded to 15 days judicial custody by the local court, in which she was produced on Thursday November 26.
Reportedly, Vedavati had hit her husband, Aravind Shetty, on Tuesday night, unable to bear his prolonged drunken harassments, causing his instant death. She allegedly tried to explain his death as due to ill health, but had confessed to have killed him, during the interrogation by the policemen.
She has a seven year-old son and two daughters, aged five and six years. However, the children did not know about the death of their father till Thursday evening, it is gathered.
