Kasargod: Gang intercepts biker - Robs Rs 20 lac in cash

Kasargod, Mar 20: A complaint about the robbery of Rs 20 lac rupees in cash has been filed in Vidyanagar police station in the town. As per the complaint, a gang snatched away cash being carried by P Sainuddin from Madhur Patla on his motorbike.

Sainuddin, who was riding his motorbike, said in his police complaint that he had reached KSTP Road via Melparamba Tattakkal, when a gang of three which arrived in a car and a motorbike stopped him, snatched cash from his possession, and sped away.

Sainuddin was carrying Rs 20 lac handed over to him by Jeelani from Kasargod to a resident of Poochakkad when the gang waylaid him. The police said that they will collect details about the source of the money and those who are involved with this activity.

It may be recalled that about a month back, black money amounting to Rs 17 lac was confiscated from near Bekal police station.
