Bengaluru, Mar 19: The state of Karnataka is already reeling under the ill-effects of Covid-19. Now the temperature has also raising to maximum. Many districts have recorded a maximum temperature of 39 degree Celsius.

There is a possibility that the mercury will soar above 40 degrees in many districts of the state in the last week of March. There will be a respite only if there is rain according to the information provided by KSNDMC director Srinivas Reddy.

The meteorological department has also issued a forewarning that some parts of the state might receive rains in the next two to three days as Telangana is already receiving rains due to the low pressure from Maharashtra to Tamil Nadu.

Some districts of northern Karnataka have received rains on Tuesday and Wednesday. Indian Meteorological department has given a forewarning that Bagalkot, Belagavi, Bidar, Dharwad, Kalaburagi and Vijayapura districts of northern Karnataka will receive rains on March 19 and 20.

The districts of Chamarajnagar, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Kodagu, Mandya and Mysuru are likely to receive rains on March 20 and 21 according to the prediction of the IMD.

According to the statistics published by the IMD as of 8.30 am of Wednesday, March 18 Kalaburagi has recorded the highest temperature of 38.8 degree celsius in the state, whereas Mandya recorded the lowest of 18.8 deg celsius.
