Kasargod, Mar 18: A boulder was tossed on a car at Madhur Kollangana in the district recently. In this incident, the car was thoroughly damaged. After the gang members wielded a knife, a person seated inside the car was injured.

In connection with the above case, the police here have succeeded in arresting a person identified as Sultan Hussain, resident of Kollangana. The arrest was made by the personnel of Vidyanagar police station here. They have filed a case against three people including the arrested one.

Irshad from Nekraje had filed a complaint against the gang. Irshad was moving in his car on Monday night when a three-member gang intercepted him, dropped a huge boulder on the car, which damaged the front portion and shattered the front windshield. Sultan Hussain also reportedly flashed a knife and threatened those inside the car.

The other two have gone into hiding. The police are searching for them.
