CM Sawant says no need to panic over coronavirus outbreak

Panaji, Mar 17: On Monday chief minister Pramod Sawant has said no positive case of coronavirus has been reported in Goa so far, so there is “no reason to panic at the moment.”

During zilla panchayat campaign meeting at Davorlim CM Pramod Sawant said “All necessary precautions are being taken. By tomorrow, thermal scanners will be installed, first at the airport followed by at the MPT and then at railway stations. The health secretary is handling the matter”.

CM requested people to avoid close contact with those coming to Goa from outside. When asked about state preparedness he replied there were sufficient stocks of all essential commodities in the state.
