Udupi, Nov 15: Truth always prevails, said police officer from Mumbai Daya Nayak, who was recently exonerated from all the charges of corruption against him. I will henceforth dedicate my life to serve the country, he stressed.
He was speaking reporters on Saturday November 15 after meeting the Paryaya Puttige math pontiff Sugunendrateertha Swamiji at Sri Krishna Mutt. I always knew I was innocent and the charges against me were false. I was certain that my wait of three years for justice would be answered, he added.
When I was going through tough times due to the allegations against me, it was swamiji who boosted my morale and hence had decided to take his blessings once I was exonerated from all the charges of corruption against me. Though I had received orders to serve in the police force when I was facin the allegations, I did not take it up for I decided that I would render my duty only when restored back the faith of the people in me.
And now with charges on me being absolved, I am once again redy to serve the nation, he said.
About Mumbai Atacks
I was deeply pained due to Mumbai attacks. Though I was under suspension during the time, I offered my best help during the crisis. I still regret that I could not serve my nation for past three and a half years due to allegations of corruption against me from some vested interests. I will leave on Monday to Mumbai and then will decide when to join the duty.
Ennehole School Development
I had developed a school at Ennehole and then handed it over to the government for the benefit of students of the rural area. And due to allegations I was facing the school development too was hindered. Now since I am exonerated I will strive with all will to develop the school. I have also plans to build many schools to provide education for children in rural areas, he said.
