Panaji, Feb 29: A café and a hostel were raided by police as Ashvem on Thursday. While two men were arrested for drug peddling, five foreigners who were staying without mandatory filling up police verification forms were detained.

“Ganja and charas were seized in the raid. The raid was conducted after the police received information that a person was operating a café and hostel allowing foreigners to stay without police verification,” said anti narcotic cell SP Shobit Saxena.

“The café and hostel owner had laid a table where foreigners were sitting and consuming drugs, when police personnel reached there,” said Shobit Saxena. “The deputy collector has been requested to lock and seal the premises, as the owner was keeping foreigners without submission of the mandatory ‘C’ forms,” he added.
