One can always have a defense argument in the court that " defendant was angry emotional , hurt to find the messages of his spouse"

We do not know what was there in the messages. Therefore we cannot judge or take sides. As far as I am concerned, we have a diseased person, an accused person and evidence in terms of messages.

Does not make us to know everything to take sides. In the event the defendant( accused) is not held guilty by the judiciary, then he needs to lead his normal life with full dignity.

Any one can make mistakes. Does not mean we can judge whose mistake is bigger than the other !!

Many of us familiar with John 14:6 where Jesus tells His disciples that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Our Lord Jesus brought out one truth at the beginning of Lent. Let us hope that the entire truth involved in the mysterious death of Fr Mahesh will be revealed to all of us before the celebration of the feast of risen Lord Jesus Christ.

People know very well that Fr.Mahesh was spiritually strong and any death threats or blackmails will not break his confidence.
There is nothing wrong in sending a messages to men or woman because devote priests try to console the people in trouble. Catholics come to them with all sort of problems.
Remember his body and soul was connected to Don Bosco and people of Shirva. Just think will he go to such an extent.

Or if you are among those 4500 protestors , why anyone still file a case to know detail facts after the SP highligted to do so?

Your comment: "There is nothing wrong in sending a messages to men or woman because devote priests try to console the people in trouble. Catholics come to them with all sort of problems." - This is where presumptions take an upper edge giving room for gossip. None of the citizens know the details of the message. The message unearthed is in the custody of the Police and will now reach the courts of law. Let law take its own course and put to end to gossip. What triggered David to speak after reading the chats/message should be looked into as well. Lets hope "JUSTICE IS NOT ONLY DONE BUT SEEN TO BE DONE" in this case.

Patience brings out the cause. Unnecessarily blaming the Bishop or the Parish Priest; being judgmental based on gossip doesn't work in such sensitive matters. Truth takes time but will prevail. Let the law take its own course. The evidence is before the Courts now to decide.

David URGED Fr D’Souza to take his life using a rope or else he warned that he will be publicly humiliated.

The above sentence is Tricky one . Once the Public / Police / Court come to the conclusion that he had committed suicide and it was not murder then it will not be much difficult for the actual culprit to come out.

Guilty should be punished under fullest extent of law.
Fr. Mahesh is still innocent and fellow priests, I remember reading many people made hyper comments/protest..etc against the priest in past which was un-acceptable..

We need to understand.. to become a priest they have to sacrifice a lot like their whole life time for the sake of others & repeated again .. whole of their life with no personal gain.. just for others.
If there was a Easy Life.. today many of us would have been in the Priesthood .. Instead of going to the Gulf with 80 degree boiling temperature or Europe with minus -15 degree Ice cold or Crowded/polluted cities like Mumbai, Madras, Bangalore with No fresh air to breathe...Itz that simple.

I just recalled a defamation case filed on Jan. 19, regarding Fr. Mahesh's death which started as follows :

"The third additional JMFC court here has issued notice to Joel Mathias, Flavia Mathias and Leena Mathias for allegedly defaming Mudrangadi gram panchayat president David D Souza on social media platforms. David D'Souza has sought Rs 1 crore in damages. "

Whereas, in today's news, the person who sought damages himself is arrested.

What all blunder is going on around us !

The defamation case is a civil matter filed by David Dsouza, which he filed on his own. That has nothing to do with police investigation which now has unearthed his involvement. So the defamation case might be dismissed if it turns out that the information sent out matches what the police found.
