Bantwal, Feb 25: A video of two people obstructing a traffic sub-inspector and police staff when they were checking vehicles passing at Modankap, near Kaikamba and booking cases against those who violate traffic rules has gone viral on social media.

Bantwal police later detained the two accused over the incident for questioning.

In the video, the two accused are reportedly seen asking the policemen to vacate the place. They are seen saying that they will tear and throw the notice issued by the police and also questioning them who gave them the authority and alleging that they loot public.

    Police are doing their duty but they are not trained properly how to respect the public.

    Calling someone in a singular form by the government officials is not acceptable.

    People of DK are more sensitive on this kind of communication. Can the Police Commissioner issue instructions to all the police officials to address the public appropriately.

    If someone calls me in singular form in front of my family, not only me but my family will also take the police to task. So, address the public appropriately and avoid provocation. After all, police are paid by the tax payors money and hence called public servants.

    How the police feel if the public or their own superiors call them in a singular form? Give respect and take respect.

    I really appreciate our Mangalore Traffic Police carrying out extensive checks & patrolling on roads, many drivers are often drunk, many don't have licenses, many do reckless driving, illegal drug business, organized crime, kidnapping and they often get intel. stop blaming cops who are taking care of road safety measures

    From the video it is evident that the police patrolling vehicle parked in the road posing danger and leads to traffic block. The language should be respected by both parties while having conversation.

    I support to cops.. I have travelled in that road many times.. it's good that cops r thr in that road..because many vehicles and buses drives speed in that narrow road.. so I wish police as ryt to stay and fine as per law.. and I don't no abut any looting it's up to god.. but as per law.. police as to see and check every vechiles documents.. cuz many people 2 wheeler and all without number plates they drive.. and respect to cops.. cuz they r government servant..

    Good new shorthand writing skills our youngsters are picking on their phones & some lecturers who value their answers too say it creeps in there too. but they won't get any marks in English language if they use the same........lol.

    I received this video yesterday through WhatsApp. Frankly, I didn’t like the way these guys were talking to the Police. There is a way to address any issue and not by show-off. Live recording has become an fashion and the Police take utmost patience. I condemn taking live videos unless the matter is grave. Requesting to book these guys for obstructing the Law and Order. Jai Hind.

    I saw this video yesterday,
    This guy was wrong in putting few sentences, & was undeniably arrogant when police was very calm & maintaining their cool.
    It is that when we give in, we give in completely & when we object we go an extra mile, we should know how to react legally & logically.
    Law should be a mandatory subject in schools.

    I agree with you but sometimes even polices dont know to respect .But still we should be arrogant with them. In that case we need to record & later put in enquiry.
    Next sometimes these polices are seen stopping their vehicles on a turn which poses dangerous . This has happen to me near kankanady bypass near Colcao court apartment. I went a bit further & stopped as there was another vehicle behind me ,But i reversed & came back . The inspector started yelling why i didn't stop i spoke him politely keeping my cool & made him understand then i should him my UAE)/Indian licence & told him we dont get this U.A.E. licence easily & we driving over there we also follow the rules & be safe here when we drive .Then he obliged & he understood put a case only for tinted glasses that also 35% tinted glasses where the face is visible but for that he said its supreme court Oder ..Fine thats ok. 200 Rs.

    so whats your point? send all of them back to school to learn law and make it only mandatory at school? leave the politics and religion from mind and have the courage to say that send those two arse holes behind the bars who were trying to steal the law from those who were on duty to maintain law and order!
