Kasargod, Feb 22: In connection with 19.5 sovereigns of gold ornaments going missing from the residence of Sunil, resident of Kodivalappu at Gudde Devasthana Road. Adkathbail here, the police have arrested Kiran from Farangipet near Mangaluru.
Prajina, who has been named as first accused in the theft case, was produced in the court on Friday upon which the court has remanded her to judicial custody. The girl told the police that she stole the ornaments at the behest of her lover Kiran.
During her questioning, the police also came to know about nine sovereigns of gold ornaments having been stolen from a house in Uduma. The stolen gold was sold to a jewellery shop in the town, out of which only a part could be recovered.
