Mysuru: Woman dies after speeding private bus overturns near Hunsur

Mysuru, Feb 21: A day after 19 died in the Avinashi bus-lorry collision, another bus accident at Hunsur in the wee hours of Friday, claimed life of a woman.

20-year-old Sherin Francis, a resident of Nagpur, Maharashtra died in the accident. Three people including the bus cleaner are critically injured and are being treated in a hospital in Mysuru.

The private bus belonging to Kallada Travels was travelling overnight from Bengaluru to Malappuram, when it overturned in Hunsur near Mysuru. According to the initial probe, the driver of the bus bearing registration number AR 01 J 5220 was over speeding, which is said to be the cause of the accident.

The bus had left Bengaluru at around 10.15 pm on Thursday and met with an accident at around 2 am on Friday.
