Kundapur: Woman who suffered burn injuries succumbs

Kundapur, Feb 21: A woman who had suffered burns in a fire accident at Byndoor passed away on the evening of Wednesday, February 19.

Chandu Poojary, resident of Mayyarahithlu in Bijur, Byndoor, had suffered extensive injuries after her sari caught fire when she was firing the firewood hearth at the bathroom on February 14, and the fire engulfed her. She had been admitted into Fr Muller Hospital at Mangaluru for treatment. Without responding to treatments, she passed away on Wednesday evening.

A case of unnatural death in this respect stands registered in Byndoor police station.
