Puttur, Feb 20: Three brothers from Kuriya here are having enmity among themselves over business and property issues since sometime. One among them had contracted a killer to eliminate one of the brothers, the police personnel of rural police station have found. They have registered case against three in this regard.

Jayaram from Kuriya village had complained to the police against his brother, Mahesh alias Mayilappa. The three brothers used to run a home products business at Kuriya together since the last several years. On the issue of sharing of property, differences had arisen between them recently. It is said that because of this enmity, Mahesh, along with Nassir alias Munna had hired Muhammed Haris from Veeramangala in Shantigodu village to murder his brother, Jayaram.

Jayaram came to know about this. He filed complaint in Puttur rural (Sampya) police station. A case of attempt to murder has been registered. The police say that they are still searching for the accused and that the accused are yet to be arrested.
