Panaji: CM welcomes decision to rename IDSA after late Parrikar

Panaji, Feb 18: Chief minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday welcomed the decision of the Union Defence Ministry to name the Institute for Defence Studies and Analysis after late Manohar Parrikar.

“I welcome the decision of the Union Defence Ministry to rename 'The Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses' (IDSA) as ‘Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses’, honouring Manohar Bhai’s tremendous contribution as Defence Minister of India,” Sawant tweeted.

The Defence Ministry on Tuesday, in a statement issued, had announced to rename New Delhi based IDSA after the former Union Defence Minister.
