Kadaba, Feb 18: After a cow that was grazing accidentally chewed an explosive that was planted by someone for hunting the wild boar, the mouth and skull portions of the cow suffered grave injuries. The incident happened on Monday February 17 at Sampadka, Deraje in Balya village.
The cow belongs to Balchandra from Sampadka. The cow's face has been extensively damaged and looks like a lump of pulp. As such, it has not even been able to drink water.
Balachandra has more than three milking cows. The farmers from this area normally tether their cattle on the banks of Gundia rivulet for grazing. Balachandra's wife, Vijaylaxmi, had tethered her cow that had turned pregnant for the first time, near the rivulet at around 10 am on Monday. At around 2 pm she heard the sound of some explosion. When she went to lead the cow back home at 3 pm, she found that the cow was extensively injured.
On that occasion, a stranger on the other side of the rivulet told her that a tiger had hunted her cow. The woman grew suspicious about that man's involvement in the incident, and filed complaint in Kadaba police station.
