Ballari, Feb 14: Police and minister R Ashok categorically denied that Sharath, son of minister Ashok was not involved in the car accident that took place near Hospet of the district on February 10, in which two people, including an innocent minor boy, pedestrian, lost their lives.
Now, reliable sources have confirmed that Sharath, son of minister Ashok was present near the accident site. R Ashok had clarified to the media that there is no relation to the accident and his son or the car that was involved in it. However, now it is reportedly confirmed that son of minister Ashok was indeed involved in the accident.
After the accident, the injured were taken to a private hospital by the name Maitri. Bharathi Bai, a woman who works in the hospital, has confirmed that Sharath had come to the hospital along with the injured. Bharathi identified Sharath by a photo of him which was shown to her.
Bharathi, who works as an attendant at the Maitri hospital said, "This youth (Sharath) had also come to the hospital. He was tensed and was saying that the condition of the injured is serious and was hurriedly asking us to provide stretchers soon. However, the doctors of the hospital told him to shift the injured to government hospital as their condition was serious."
The name of Sharath, son of influential BJP minister R Ashok is surfacing again and again in this accident. The statements given by the police, R Ashok and Bharathi Bai, the attendant in the hospital are reportedly not tallying with each other.
It may be recalled, in the accident that occurred on February 10, a red coloured Mercedes Benz car that was plying at high speed near Mariyammanhalli of Hospet tried to overtake a truck from the left side. However, the driver of the car lost the control and hit Ravi Naika, a pedestrian who was standing in front of a hotel on the left side of the road.
The car after hitting pedestrian Ravi Naika overturned twice. Sachin, one of the occupants in the car died as he was not wearing the seat belt. Car driver Rahul escaped with injuries. However, Ravi Naika, a minor boy lost his life for none of his mistake.
Sharath, son of minister R Ashok was sitting in the rear seat of the car that met with the accident. He was immediately taken to Bengaluru in another car. Accusations are also being heard that the post mortem of Sachin's body was done in a hurry reportedly due to pressure from R Ashok.
