Hua Hin (Thailand), Oct 25: Prime Ministers Manmohan Singh of India and Wen Jiabao of China may not have had a one-on-one here, but they got a chance to chat at the Saturday dinner hosted by Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva.
What they discussed, however, is not known and is a matter of speculation. Indian officials said they were seen talking after finding themselves at the same table and close to one another - courtesy the Thais.
At the Wen-Manmohan Singh delegation-level talks Saturday morning, the two leaders reportedly avoided two contentious issues: Arunachal Pradesh, which Beijing claims, and the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama, whose proposed trip to the northeastern state has been bitterly opposed by China.
Their meeting was their first since they held talks in New York in September last year.
