Mangaluru, Feb 11: With every new day, the stream of weary people meander the corridors in search of the quintessential need for health, pass through the great portals of the Father Muller Charitable Institutions. The concept of health has changed over centuries from biomedical, psychosocial to holistic health, which is the foundation in which the great legacy of this institution has emphasized throughout the years. Health is not the embodiment of a perfectly functioning body but is the tuning of the physical, mental, social and spiritual self to its fullest realization attaining peace and satiety.
The journey of the Father Muller Charitable Institutions has seen 14 decades of steadfast service towards humanity and the elevation of the human spirit to the wellness of health. His Excellency, Fr Peter Paul Saldanha, the bishop of Mangaluru is at the helm of the institution being its president. The director, Fr Richard A Coelho, who manages the day to day affairs of the institution and its sister concerns, has burnt the midnight oil in continuing the legacy of Fr Augustus Muller. His acumen and work ethics come from serving the institutions as an administrator for seven years and then adorning the office of the director. The administrators of each sister concern work independently yet cohesively and meticulously in enhancing the infrastructure and the upkeep of human resources. The man behind the Father Muller Medical College Hospital, administrator Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, has seen over nine years of untiring service to the institution, even being the administrator of the Medical College and as assistant administrator too. Fr Roshan Crasta administrator, Father Muller Homeopathic Medical College Hospital; Fr Ajith Menezes administrator, Father Muller Medical College; Fr Slyvester Vincent Lobo administrator, Father Muller Hospital, Thumbay, and the assistant administrator Fr Nelson Dheeraj Pais, have engraved their initials into their respective genres of work.
