Mangaluru, Feb 10: CODP held an awareness programme on protection of natural resources at CODP Mother Theresa auditorium on Feb 10.

CODP project officer Lynette Gonsalves named the natural resources, explained the damages caused by destruction of environment, the part that children should play to save environment and problems caused by use of plastic.

She said that we can raise walls by filling plastic bottles with plastic instead of throwing them or prepare benches. “We should use water sparingly considering draught, grow saplings and trees and save electricity by putting off fans and lights when not required,” she said.

Students of 8th and 9th standard were present. CODP director Fr Oswald Monteiro welcomed. Secretary Kalagirish thanked.
