Mangaluru, Feb 10: The police have revealed that details about those inside an Alto 800 car which met with an accident over Pumpwell flyover here on the evening of February 8, have been found to be hard to get. Those who were injured and are being treated in the hospital too are not helping out with any information.

An Alto 800 car that was moving towards Thokkottu from Nanthoor had suddenly gained speed. It had gone out of the control of the driver, and then hit a Duster car coming from the opposite direction. Praveen Fernades (45) who was in the Duster car was killed in the accident.

Eyewitnesses said that there were five persons inside the Alto car. But as per the police, only two injured persons are being treated in private hospital here. The police said that the injured are tight lipped about the information about their co-passengers.

The police are trying to find out whether the other injured were admitted elsewhere without their knowledge. So far, they have failed in putting together concrete information. They are groping in the dark as yet and have no information as to who was driving the said car, why did the car gain so much speed, and who were the people seated inside the car and where are they now.

    In my view this reporting of incident itself is deliberate to deflect the attention from the designer failure of newly opened fly over.

    If there are no steel barrier itself in place and the construction seems to be incomplete that may resulted in speeding vehicle to plunge from the bridge.

    It won't be difficult establish the identity of the vehicle owner. What was missing is the safety and poor road design inaugurated in hush without any trial run.

    Strange to hear that the passengers and driver are unknown. Car number plate and chassis number is missing ?. Owner odentity is easy to identify?
    Why the cock and bull story?
    Innocent life is lost due to negligence.
    Justice needs to be sought ASAP.

    I am certain that our Police Force is pretty strong and will investigate and find out the real culprits in the accident borne alto car. It is pretty difficult to believe reports that two persons have escaped and are hiding & their identity is not known. That is not possible as you have two injured people in the hospital who can give our police lead to the missing culprits.
    This is unless this vehicle belonged to someone influential and was carrying something illegal or some thing like that.!!

    There s a small edge or a joint on the middle of the road ,If Light weight car is moving in highspeed definately car will be on the air for 1 to 2 seconds,during the time 90 percent people will lose their control as car's all 4 wheels will be in the air,I faced similar situation on that flyover yesterday.so i requests the officials kindly look into the matter.

    Please Install Speed Limit & CCTV Cameras , and the RTA should put up sign boards that gives clear information .

    when heavy speeding fines are lashed by the RTA, then Automatically everything will fall in place.

    There are lot no of Indian in the middle east, who are driving, but all of them follow the law, just because fine are heavy and licence are cancelled after certain no of black points,
    so please implement the same in our country, for the betterment of the citizens.

    Keep them under police custody until all are traced and investigated. Keralites in Mangalore are Indians as much as Mangaloreans in Mumbai and those living outside India. Those living in the glass house should not throw stone at others.
    Probably one who was driving did not have a valid Driving license.

    There are 2 types of drivers one who save life's by driving ambulance fast. Another type kill others by driving fast.

    Indian police can take sugar cane out of elephant mouth. This is nothing wait all names will come. Let them recover.

    On this flyover most of the cars two wheeler going in a high speed ,some times above 120 km/
    there must be speed limit and there is no trafic signal signs displayed , without this how can RTO allowed to open a fly over bridge to public,
    one precious life is lost for no fault, whom to made resposible this lost life.

    Instead of eating public funds, please install CCTV camera at every 1 km range, when the whole globe has moved so forward we are still tech lagging..

    Need of the hour is CAA/NRC. Too many illegals are moving out of kerala & coming to city to settle. They are creating havoc in the city, need strict checking near the state borders.
    It is surprising to hear that there is no information of those who killed an innocent man by way of ruthless driving. No value for life at all????

    Unbelievable that our efficient and well trained police can't establish the identity of the driver and co passengers who caused accident and death. Do we need nuclear scientists to find the owner of the car and residential premises of the injured and the other passengers ................. This is nothing but mockery of our legal and judicial system.

    Must be a person having no license was driving that car & are very much afraid of police ,.Hence it’s very difficult for police to get proper information . Better to leak out genuine information within a day or two ,Otherwise underhand dealings will be done by police.Surprised to know even a day police are not able to know who there driver was
