Bengaluru, Feb 7: The Grand Victoria at the Radisson Blu on Outer Ring Road resounded with music and laughter as the Agnesian alumni and their friends danced away the evening on the February 1.
Organised by the Bengaluru chapter of the Alumni Association of St Agnes College, led by its president Hilma Roach, and the enthusiastic committee, the centenary ball was a joyous celebration of the Agnesian spirit, as well as a generous contribution to the centenary fund.
'A 26',Goa's leading band, lived up to its reputation of being Bengaluru’s favourite too, as their music magnetically drew everyone, both young and old, to the dance floor.
A fashion pageant, directed by Marjorie Texeira, starring the lovely Agnesians, added as much sparkle to the ball, as the Navrathnas it was named after.
Dr Vibha Shetty, the lively compere, set a happy tone, while the beautiful ambience and fine spirits ensured it stayed that way. The lavish buffet dinner that followed was a gourmet's delight.
Sponsored by Hilma and Austin Roach, and cosponsored by Jean and Ronald Colaco and Asha and Joe Colaco, and a host of others, it was a remarkably well organised and a thoroughly enjoyable ball.
