Kaup, Feb 7: Numan (26), a native of Uchila Bada village, who was working in Qatar and was returning on a visit to his native place, had gone missing after reaching Mumbai. The Padubidri police have since found the youth, who was reportedly working as accountant abroad.
Numan, who reached Padubidri police station on Thursday February 6, was turned in to his family members. A person identified as Oscar had visited the home of Numan at Bhaskar Nagar, Uchila, on January 7, to tell Numan's father, Ismail, that Numan had reached Mumbai. On January 13, Numan had sent Instagram message to his brother, Naufal, saying that he was not in a position to either send message or communicate with them. When Naufal asked about his whereabouts, Numan had remained silent. As there were doubts about Numan having undertaken the journey to his native place, his family members had lodged police complaint.
Padubidri police, who tried their best to crack the case, found that Numan's mobile network showed his presence in Bengaluru. They succeeded in communicating with him. They learnt that Numan was working at Bengaluru and was staying with a friend. As he was asked to visit Padubidri police station, he came on Thursday after which he was sent home with his parents, Padubidriplolice said.
