Driver who drove ailing infant from Mangaluru to Bengaluru in 4.5 hours felicitated

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (EP)

Bengaluru, Feb 6: The KMCC ambulance, which left from Mangaluru to Bengaluru, hoping to save a 40-day-old infant from Mangaluru, suffering from heart-related ailment, reached Bengaluru’s Jayadeva Hospital. The ambulance started from Mangaluru at 12.05 pm and reached Jayadeva hospital in Bengaluru in the evening at 4.35 pm.

Haneef Balanja, who drove the infant from Father Muller’s Hospital, Mangaluru on Thursday to Bengaluru on zero traffic, hails from Guruvayanakere in Beltangady taluk.

Haneef, who works as Bengaluru KMCC ambulance driver, has earlier received best ambulance driver award from Kerala government road safety division.

The driver who drove the infant to Bengaluru in record time was accorded grand welcome by people at hospital premises.

Speaking to reporters later, Haneef expressed his gratitude to people who gave way for his ambulance.

I ish him all the best for saving the life. Here cast and Creed doesn't comes whenever saving the life.

Our Mangaluru was very peaceful between all communities, however our few politicians spoiled brotherhood in our District as well as in whole India for their own benefits.

It is a matter of pride to The Driving Profession that there is someone like Haneef who indeed has brought honor to the profession.

No doubt, other driving public are required to make way to an ambulance but this rule is overlooked by several other drivers.

As a very senior driver - over ninety-eight years it is my privilege to say kudos to Haneef.

Ambulances are by choice given priority to pass. But there are some stupid people who dont give way. And this is when accidents happen. First we should respect the rule of law by giving way to ambulances. Just imagine if one of our family member was being taken in the ambulance
