Bengaluru: Obscene CD depicting Raghaveshwara - Govt favours continuance of case

Bengaluru, Feb 5: The state government has decided to pursue the case of manufacture and circulation of obscene CD for sullying the image of Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Theertha Swamiji of Ramachandrapur Math. This case had been registered at Gokarna against some persons and the then government had withdrawn the complaint in 2015, said minister for law and parliamentary affairs, J C Madhuswamy.

The minister said that this CD had been made with the specific aim of harming the image of the Swamiji, in 2010. The then state cabinet had decided to withdraw the case when the charge sheet was about to be filed. He said that the government has felt the need to continue with the case and hence decided to retract the decision taken by the then Congress government.
