Sudair, Feb 5: The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) on Tuesday reported an outbreak of pathogenic H5N8 bird flu in Saudi Arabia.
The outbreak occurred in the central Sudair region, killed 22,700 birds as per a report from the Saudi agriculture ministry.
To prevent further spread culling of over 385,300 birds in the flock took place.
The case of the H5N8 virus in Saudi Arabia was one of the firsts since July 2018.
