Mangaluru: St Lawrence Church celebrates feast of Altar Servers

Mangaluru, Feb 4: Altar Servers' feast was celebrated at St Lawrence Church, Bondel, on February 2.

Celebration began with Holy Eucharist presided by Fr Prem Prakash, parish priest of Saverapura Church Murkathpalke.

Fr Clifford Pinto, principal of St Lawrence English medium school and Fr Cyril Lobo, assistant parish priest, con-celebrated the mass.



Refreshment was served to the altar servers and their parents. Stage programme began in st Lawrence English medium school auditorium.

Fr Prem Prakash was the chief guest, Fr Clifford Pinto, Fr Cyril Lobo, Fr Anil Lobo, Dn Wilson, Reginald D’souza, vice president of Pastoral Parish Council, Steevan Noronha, secretary, Dismith D’Souza, president of Altar Servers Sodality, were present on the dias.

Altar servers animator Mradulla, Preethi and Meena were honoured during the programme. After the stage programme as a part of entertainment group wise cultural competitions was organized. Fr Andrew Leo D’soza, parish priest, was also present for the programme.

Dismith welcomed the gathering, Fr Clifford Pinto, director of altar servers, rendered the vote of thanks and Roshal and Glen compered the entire programme.

Housie housie game and spot games were conducted. Lunch and ice cream was served at the end of the programme.

It was a memorial day for the altar servers of Bondel church.
