Vijayapura, Feb 3: BJP MLA of the city Basanagowda Patil Yatnal has said that ministers who have not performed up to the mark till now should be removed from their positions and opportunity should be given to new MLAs.
Speaking to reporters in the city about the minister of his own BJP government, Yatnal said, "Ministers who have performed below par should be replaced with newcomers. They will not revolt even if they lose the ministry. Even if they revolt and go for re-election, they will not win.
"I have appealed to CM Yediyurappa to do the valuation of ministers. Some of the ministers do not even attend sessions in the legislative assembly. We, the MLAs, have to go in search of them. Even their Personal Assistants (PA) are not reachable.
"People who have already enjoyed power should make way in order to maintain the stability of the government. I was a union minister without doing any lobbying. Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Lal Krishna Advani had called and offered me the minister position. Now I am working for the development of Vijayapura as an MLA. Government is giving more grants for development than before."
Yatnal also opined that the difference between root and migrants is like cancer. It is there in all political parties.
