Moodbidri, Feb 3: Sanmathi Patil of Mechanical Engineering scored the highest marks across all the Engineering streams and bagged 11 gold medals.
Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE) Moodbidri set yet another incredible milestone by securing top ranks in the 2019 BE Examinations conducted by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. Seven students from different Engineering streams secured ranks in the recently announced university ranks by the VTU.
Sanmathi Shrikant Patil secured the first rank in BE (Mechanical Engineering), Mamatha C secured the second rank in Mechatronics Engineering, Sharanya Arvind Bhadrapur secured the third rank in Mechatronics Engineering and Stalin Darshan Bangera secured the eighth rank in Mechatronics Engineering. Sagar Padival K secured the fourth rank in Civil Engineering, and Vishnu Chandroth secured the second rank in Aeronautical Engineering while Shwetha S secured the tenth rank in Aeronautical Engineering.

Dr G L Easwara Prasad, principal and faculty of MITE congratulated the students on this stupendous achievement. MITE has been consistently bagging ranks in the university examination every year. In the previous academic year too, MITE had bagged four university ranks.

Sanmathi Shrikant Patil, in addition to securing the first rank in Mechanical Engineering, has also scored the highest marks amongst all the rank holders bagging eleven gold medals.
