Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (HB/EP)

Udupi, Feb 3: “Sand mounds in the coastal control zone within the district limits as per no objection letters issued by KSCZMA on February 4, 2019 are disposed off. The last date of February 3 stipulated by the authority for their disposal has expired.

Ten other sand mounds in the coastal control zone are already identified and the matter has been submitted to KSCZMA for approval. Further action will be taken after obtaining the approval.

As disposal of mounds is suspended, there is no scope to supply sand in coastal control zone through Udupi e-sand app,” stated deputy commissioner G Jagadeesh in a press release.
