Udupi, Jan 31: “There was no Babri Masjid in Ayodhya. Only devotion of Lord Ram and Hanuman was in progress. Do not call it Babri Masjid. No prayers were conducted there. They have gone to construct mosque in the name of Babar who was unjust. All among Muslims are not bad. There are good people like Abdul Kalam,” said Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat. He was giving the key note address in an awareness conference supporting Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Katpadi here on Friday, January 31.
“There was only a structure in Ayodhya but no place of worship. The CAA is only to give citizenship and not to take it away. Everybody should get themselves registered under National Register of Citizens (NRC). There are attempts to suppress national force that was in the country for the last 100 years. There were uninterrupted campaigns since the last 1,000 years. Mothers too have fought for India’s independence.
Nehru and his companions divided the country for their position. British, Muslim and Congress caused the country’s division. India would have broken into fragments if it had continued. Pakistan got independence because of impotent Congress. Ambedkar is a national leader. Hindu is a way of life. Pakistan has been harassing Hindu community even after division. Several people from Pakistan and Bangladesh have sneaked into India illegally since the last 72 years. All the facilities are provided to them. None of the Muslims are facing hardship here. This Act is the one which gives citizenship.
“Two people who died during the violence in Mangaluru on December 19 last year were terrorists. Pre-planned disturbances have occurred all over the country. There were protests like in Kashmir. As many as 53 police personnel were injured. Two terrorists were done away with. There are efforts to convert the state as the centre of terrorism.
“NRC is only an Act for registration for patriotic people. Hindu society is necessary so that Christian and Muslim communities live in peace. India is standing on Hindu community. If Muslims want to live in harmony with others, let them stay. Let them return to their land otherwise. Narendra Modi and Amit Shah cannot be defeated. Such people will be born again and again. India is a sacred country. All cannot sneak in. If one fights on the basis of truth, justice and values, the world bows its head. Modi wants the country to be the leader of the world. All should join hands for it,” he said.
Kuthyar Prasad Shetty gave an introduction. Dinaker Shetty Kurkalu, retired headmaster, presided over the conference.
