Brahmavar, Jan 30: In an accident which happened at Madhuvana village near Kota on Wednesday January 29, a bike rider lost his life. The victim was Kiran Devadiga (26), resident of Vaddarse village.

Kiran's mother had left to take part in a religious programme held near Saibrakatte. Kiran was going towards Saibrakatte from Vaddarse on Tuesday night to bring his mother back, when a car that was moving towards Kota knocked him down. Injured Kiran was rushed to Manipal Hospital where he breathed his last on Wednesday evening.

Kiran's mother did not know that her son was coming to pick her up. She had hired an auto rickshaw to return home. At the moment the accident happened, the mother seated on the auto rickshaw reached the accident spot. When she saw that her son was the one who met with the accident and had suffered life-threatening injuries, the mother started to wail loudly. She helped in shifting Kiran to hospital after which locals led her to her home.

Kiran's father had died seven years ago. He had thereafter completed graduation by working as paperboy and working in petrol bunk. After college, he had begun to serve in an electronic dealership. He also had taken over the responsibility of educating his two younger brothers. The family is in distress now with no one to look up to for support.
