Mumbai: Bhandary Seva Samiti ladies wing celebrates Arasina Kumkuma

Mumbai, Jan 21: “It is not right for the modern generation to forget traditions by going behind Science. Human life will become lively only by following traditions,” said famous Mumbai doctor Dr Sucheta Narayana Bhandary. She addressed a gathering after lighting the lamp on the importance of health concern and Arasina Kumkuma as chief guest at the annual Makara Sankramana and Arasina Kumkuma celebrated by ladies wing of Bhandary Seva Samiti at Swamy Vivekananda auditorium, Sion on Sunday.

The programme was held under the guidance of Bhandary Seva Samiti president, advocate R M Bhandary. Bhandary Seva Samiti former president Shobha Suresh Bhandary Kadandale was the guest of honour.

Ladies wing president Shalini Ramesh Bhandary, vice-president Rekha A Bhandary, secretary Jayasudha T Bhandary, former president Lalita B Bhandary honoured the guests.



Shobha Bhandary said that women should give importance to spiritual programmes. "The young generation should take part in the organization and ladies wing in large numbers. The health fund and education fund should be developed further to serve."

Committee honorary chief secretary Shashidhar D Bhandary, honorary treasurer Karunaker Bhandary, executive committee members and women were present.

Sreyal U Bhandary conducted games. Ankita T Bhandary and Nireeksha N Bhandary performed dances. Ladies wing members presented cultural programme. Pallavi Ranjith Bhandary introduced the guests, compered the programme and rendered the vote of thanks.
