Bantwal, Jan 17: Three highway patrol vehicles given by government to the police to ensure adherence of traffic rules and prevention of accidents were released by Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik at B C Road junction on Friday, January 17.
He said that the government has provided well equipped vehicles to the police department to ensure law and order. “The police department should provide good service to the people with the help of the vehicles. Those will also be useful to take action against those who violate law,” he said.
The MLA handed over roses to the drivers of three vehicles. SVS school students took part in view of road safety week.
Bantwal DySP Valentine D’ Souza, Bantwal police circle inspector T D Nagaraj, Bantwal town PSI Avinash, rural police station PSI Prasanna, MS traffic police station PSI Rama Naik and staff took part.
