Mangaluru, Jan 17: A complaint has been registered in Kankanady police station here against a group of protesters who participated in the massive protest against Citizenship Amendment Act at Adyar Kannur in the outskirts of the city on Wednesday January 15. A contingent of Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel has filed this complaint.

The RAF has alleged that during the said programme, they were obstructed from discharging their duties. They said that as the protest was inching towards closure, over a hundred RAF personnel had got down from their buses and lined up on the highway. The protesters, noticing this, objected to their presence on the highway. "They raised 'Go Back Police slogans against us. The situation at the spot turned tense. As such, the RAF personnel returned from there," it has been explained.

This had obstructed RAF personnel from discharging their duties, the complainants said, duly asking the police to take suitable action against the accused.
